The business department is part of the Commerce & Technology Division. IT, OHS, Beauty and Mangement departments also work from this division. This entrance area can see a lot of local wildlife. In summer, venomous dugite snakes can be a hazard, and in the cooler winter months wild kangaroos graze on the grassed areas. Pink galahs and green parrots also frequent the area.

Sounds very exotic to me with wild kangaroos, pink galahs and green parrots outside the school building, however the venomous dugite snakes.... Has there been any accidents with "snake attacks"?
ReplyDeleteUnlike the indigenous tiger snake, dugites do not attack. I have been marooned in a staff room because one came inside. It is against the law to kill them, so some staff are trained snake handlers, removing the snakes away from the college. Some research suggest that they 'home'.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm pleased that we don't have any dangerous snakes in Sweden :)
