Students showing their tourism films of the United States


One group of student is presenting their “tourism films” of the United States to the other class. The students had been producing their films in the software “IMovie” which is a great tool when making movies and presentations. They changed the classroom into a “flight cabin” and served refreshments the “travellers” while they were watching the films.

    I'm curious and wonder what the students thought was important to present from a tourism perspective, such as famous places and events?

    Hi Bella!
    The students had chosen different states in the US and focused mainly on these areas:
    Transportation - "how to get there" "how to get around", Places of interest -"must see", "must do", Where to stay (different alternatives) - "hotels", "motels", "B&Bs".

    What a fun and educational task for the students and that they also may work with digital tools. In what grade are students when they do this?

    These were first year students. Yes, they enjoyed the task and it was a great opportunity to work in iMovie.
